What is Archetypal Pathwork?

Archetypal pathwork refers to the practice of interpreting tarot cards through the lens of archetypes, which are universal, instinctual patterns of the human psyche. Practicing archetypal pathwork is a profound journey into the universal patterns that shape our thoughts, behaviors, and leadership presence.

Every tarot archetype acts as a guide, revealing hidden psychological themes and offering pathways that will transform how you show up in the world—with more clarity, authenticity, and impact. Through this practice, you’ll uncover hidden patterns, confront limiting beliefs, and cultivate breakthrough thinking.

Archetypal pathwork is more than guidance, it’s a structured AND nuanced process of individuation, that empowers you to lead from a place of profound clarity, authenticity, and strength.

The Tarotypal Pathwork™

Tarotypal Leadership has five major arcs called The Tarotypal Pathwork™. Each arc reflects a stage in the individuation process, and is guided by archetypal energies drawn from the Major Arcana of the tarot. These archetypes aren’t abstract concepts, but instead are living patterns that illuminate the inner and outer terrain of leadership, especially in moments of transition, uncertainty, and emergence.

The Inner Arc
Archetypes: The Fool, The Magician, The High Priestess

This arc corresponds to the beginning of individuation: awakening to the call for something more authentic, realizing the old tools don’t quite fit anymore, and beginning to trust your inner knowing.
Individuation connection: The moment when the unconscious begins to stir and demand attention. You start to sense the gap between your outer life and inner truth.

The Relational Arc
Archetypes: The Empress, The Emperor, The Hierophant
In this arc, you begin to confront the patterns you've inherited from family, culture, and society. Individuation here looks like navigating your shadow as it plays out in relationship, power dynamics, and belonging.
Individuation connection: Encountering the shadow and projections in the mirror of others. Beginning to sort what is yours from what was imposed or inherited.

The Integration Arc
Archetypes: The Lovers, The Chariot, Strength
This is where you begin the real work of integration — bringing together head and heart, light and shadow, masculine and feminine.
Individuation connection: Integration of Anima/Animus. Making empowered choices that reflect your emerging wholeness.

The Transformation Arc
Archetypes: The Hermit, Wheel of Fortune, Justice, The Hanged One, Death, Temperance
Deep inner work unfolds here — death and rebirth, surrender, and realignment.
Individuation connection: Shedding the false self. Embracing uncertainty. Developing a deeper relationship with meaning, mystery, and Self.

The Sovereignty Arc
Archetypes: The Devil, The Tower, The Star, The Moon, The Sun, Judgement, The World
Individuation matures here. You live from your center, contribute meaningfully, and trust the cyclical nature of your becoming.
Individuation connection: Embodying the Self. Living aligned with your values, wisdom, and inner authority — in service to something greater.
